Coveting...

Ok, I know it is only August, but today made me think about Christmas. The JCrew Catalog arrived and though I can't afford to shop there now since I don't work there anymore (I worked holiday in 2005 & finally quit almost a year..) I am now dreaming of winter coats, and specifically this coat:
It is so tailored and feminine and beautiful snowy white.. BUT -Now that I am a Mom, can I wear a white coat??? I can picture it covered with snot and dirty handprints, can't you?

Thanks Benny for the guest post, glad you chimed in here :) I know I have been a bit of a slacker lately, have much going on and will elaborate in the coming weeks.. For now you'll just have to believe me in that I have a great excuse. Here is a little ditty from today.. I think he gets cuter every second.

Famine

So after reading this post today by Laura, I have been searching and searching for articles on the current food crisis and am having a bit of a hard time finding current information. This was one of the articles I did find. I was surprised to hear how bad it is in Ethiopia since we were just there a short 6 months ago! N. Korea's situation is becoming desperate, along with many other places in the world..

I also found excellent information on the World Food Programme's site, here is the article intro:

A wave of food-price inflation is moving across the globe, leaving in its wake drastically increased levels of hunger and poverty. The phenomenon is affecting everyone on the planet but the poor and hungry are on the front line, as are agencies like WFP that work to help them.

Please read, please help, please pray...
